EHL 472D was aquired by Vals Classic Coaches in March 1992, and has been a part of the classic fleet ever since.
472 has also attended many rallies over the years.
In 2004, 472 attended the Bedford Gathering 2002, to celebrate 40 Years of the Bedford VAL. It was joined by another 18 Bedford VALS, including Van Hool bodied VAL 70 RAR 690J (which was also part of the Vals Classic Coaches fleet in 2002.), Duple bodied FAR 724K, BHO 670J and Plaxton Bodied WWY 115G, all of which are part of the TBG collection.
Also, on Sunday 29th August 2004, 472 attended Wakefield to celebrate 100 years since formation of West Riding Automotive. The day was a great success. 472 ran on a few guide tours, and was mostly loved by the general public.
Sadly, in 2005, the Leyland 400 engine gained a fault, and has been parked up, withdrawn from service ever since. Hopefully the bus will be repaired soon and returned to the road.
